Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026. By accessing yesyou.life, the YESYOU app, or purchasing a membership or offering, you agree to these Terms.
1. The YESYOU service
YESYOU provides digital membership content (including THE PULSE and THE SANCTUARY), community features (COSMOS), live sessions, and information about retreats, programs and related offerings founded by Jo Riley. We may update, add or remove features as the platform evolves.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase membership. You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and update it when it changes.
3. Membership & payments
Paid membership grants access described in the app at the time of purchase (for example full library access and included live sessions, subject to capacity and scheduling). Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled according to the billing interval you choose.
Drop-in live sessions (when offered) may be charged separately at the price shown at booking. Live sessions are live-only and are not recorded or replayed unless we expressly say otherwise for a specific event.
4. Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel a recurring membership from your account settings or by emailing hello@yesyou.life. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access until the end of the paid period unless we state otherwise.
Digital membership fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, except where required by law or where we choose to offer a goodwill refund. Retreats, bespoke and in-person offerings follow the cancellation terms stated at booking for that offering.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share account credentials or redistribute paid media;
- harass, harm, or exploit others in community spaces;
- record live sessions without explicit written permission;
- attempt to bypass access controls or disrupt the service;
- use YESYOU for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or create safety risks for the community.
6. Intellectual property
YESYOU content, branding, audio, video, text and design are owned by YESYOU / Jo Riley or licensed to us. Membership gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use content for your own practice — not to copy, sell, or publicly rebroadcast it.
7. Community (COSMOS)
COSMOS spaces are for supportive, respectful presence. Content you post remains yours; you grant YESYOU a licence to host and display it in the service. Do not share others' private information without consent.
8. Not medical advice
YESYOU offers wellness, breathwork-informed and somatic-style practices for personal growth. Nothing in the app or on the site is medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health.
9. Health & safety · Assumption of risk
Breathwork and somatic practices can bring up strong emotional and physical responses. By participating, you confirm you are voluntarily taking part and assume the risks associated with these practices to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Do not participate in intense breathwork or related practices if you have (or suspect you have) contraindications such as:
- cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or recent heart surgery;
- history of aneurysm, stroke, or epilepsy / seizure disorders;
- severe asthma or serious respiratory conditions;
- pregnancy (unless your clinician has cleared a specific gentle practice);
- recent surgery, serious injury, or acute illness;
- glaucoma or detached retina;
- active psychosis, bipolar mania, or other conditions where intense somatic work is contraindicated;
- any condition where your clinician has advised against breathwork or vigorous practice.
If you feel unsafe, dizzy, panicked, or unwell, stop immediately, return to normal breathing, and seek medical help if needed. Disclose relevant medical conditions before in-person or live intensive work with Jo.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YESYOU and Jo Riley are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the digital membership will not exceed the fees you paid to us for the membership in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these Terms.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
